This year, I have been looking for ways to make me feel more confident about wearing a bikini or little shorts this summer. We have no plans to go away, but I would like to maybe wear a pair of shorts without worry at least. That is, if this rain ever lets up! In preparation for this I have been looking into all kinds of beauty products that help to reduce the appearance of cellulite and to make your pins bikini/shorts ready! There is a percentage of cellulite that is hereditary and there is a percentage that is habitual. Of course, what we eat clearly has an effect, but as we age our skin weakens in these troublesome areas, which means not all hope is lost. We might not be able to fight it, but we can help the strength of our skin by looking after it. Plus, I’m all about prevention, so the more I do to look after myself now, the better I’ll be in the future (in theory). With that, here are some of the beauty products and tools I’ve come up with to help with this common problem.

When I found this recipe in Red magazine, I was desperate to give it a go. I love lemon tart, although I’ve only ever eaten it in restaurants so I knew it would be tricky for me to pull off well, but I love a challenge! This recipe has a nice sharpness to it ( a little too much for hubby) but the sweetness of a sugared cream filling and a wonderfully light pastry. I was a little scared about trying to make the pastry myself, but I’m amazed how easy it was. The recipe suggests using a food processor, however I just did mine by hand and got on with it really well. Since I have not been able to find the exact recipe online, I will give you the outline here, with how I made the pastry by hand.
